Checkout Stand

My wife, the sidekick and me where  at the super markert standing in line the other day.  At the end of checkstand next to the magizines is a Coke refrigiration unit with all of their 16 oz products in it.  This refigirator is run constantly since there is NO doors on it.  My guess is they are keeping these drinks at about 40 degrees.  That is a ton of energy being wasted.

So my question is this.  WHO did the market analyst that says people won’t buy coke products if they have to open a glass door to get their 16oz pop out.  I mean really can we be expected to buy coke products if we have to open a door.   This is brutal marketing and waste of energy.

  1. I have to completely agree with you. Another note on this issue: Electricity produces global warming. Buy a Coke and support frying up the planet! Is there really a better way to quench our thirst when the planet hits 150 degrees? I think not. Kudos for a great observation!

  2. There are so many ways we can conserve, and save energy. I do wish every one would really take a look at what we are doing to our plant.
